Take your carpentry skills to the next level. Skilled trades workers are more in demand than ever, and this program is designed for those who want more than the basics to pursue roles in the commercial or residential construction sectors. Learn how to review and interpret building plans, collaborate with multiple tradespeople, apply sustainability practices, understand building codes, and ensure projects meet safety and legal standards.


By gaining real, hands-on experience in building and technical functions across a range of projects, you’ll be ready to join a building team and take on jobs that require expertise and leadership.

Entrance Scholarship

To support their academic journey, Cambrian College is offering Entrance Scholarships to all new international students applying from inside or outside Canada for Fall 2026 programs.

The deadline to apply through OCAS IAS and qualify for an entrance scholarship has been extended to May 31, 2026! 
 
Scholarship Amounts

 

  • $1,500 CAD for students applying from outside Canada
  • $1,000 CAD for students applying from within Canada

 

How to Qualify
To be eligible, students must:

  •     Be a new international student starting their first academic program at Cambrian College
  •     Apply for the September 2026 intake
  •     Submit their application through OCAS IAS by May 31, 2026 (NEW!)
  •     Pay their first-semester tuition by June 30, 2026 (NEW!)
  •     Obtain a study permit and remain registered past Day 10 of classes

*Please note PALs are limited, and a minimum non-refundable $2,200 deposit payment is required for a PAL to be requested.

 

English for Academic Purposes (EAPP) Students

EAPP applicants must also hold a conditional offer for a future academic program at Cambrian College to qualify. Scholarship amounts for EAPP students are based on their location at the time of application:
 
•    Outside Canada: $1,500 CAD
•    Inside Canada: $1,000 CAD
