Program Overview

The Master of Applied Management (180 credit) is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

It focuses on applying knowledge to real-world challenges, enhancing your skills in key management areas, and preparing you for leadership roles in diverse business environments.

You can deepen your expertise through coursework, a combination of coursework and a project, or a substantial research component.

The programme’s flexible structure, diverse pathways and emphasis on sustainability and varied organisational contexts will prepare you to lead confidently, innovate effectively and make a meaningful impact in today’s global business world.

The Master of Applied Management offers two options:

  • 180-credit programme for those with a business or business-related bachelor’s degree
  • 240-credit programme for those with a bachelor’s degree in a non-business discipline

Both options include studies at Levels 8 and 9, with at least 45 credits at Level 9. The 180-credit option can be completed in 18 months full-time or up to six years part-time. The 240-credit option requires two years full-time or up to six years part-time.

The programme is built on professional competencies and specialised focus areas. You will develop expertise across eight critical areas: money, markets, people and culture, planning, technology, innovation, globalisation and sustainability.

The programme places emphasis on two key areas:

  • Sustainable Business: Preparing you to lead organisations with environmental and social responsibility
  • Small-to-Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Equipping you to address the unique challenges and opportunities in SME management
