Program Overview
The Pearson BTEC International Extended Diploma in IT is a Level 3 course university foundation course that prepares students for either the first year of an undergraduate degree or an equivalent Level 4 vocational course here with us at TWI.
This internationally recognised programme provides the skills necessary for a successful career in the IT sector. The modules cover the most crucial subjects affecting the current IT landscape and will help you obtain all the knowledge and skills you need to progress to Level 4. This includes the building of websites, cyber security, and incident management. A variety of optional modules will also be available for you to select from, allowing you to design a personalised learning pathway for the duration of the course.
All students on this course will also benefit from our Earn While You Learn scheme and have the opportunity to receive professional career training and placement opportunities so that they can work alongside their degree.

Academic Requirement
Minimum Level of Education Required: In order to enrol on this course, applicants must:
- Be 16 years of age or above
- Show proof of their English language ability
They must also have one of the following:
- Minimum 3 D`s in IGCSE’s.
- Grade 10 or equivalent in any curriculum with a minimum of 50%
- BTEC Level 2 in a related field with a minimum pass profile.
- Other related BTEC Level 2 qualifications
- Work experience with two references.
