In La Trobe's Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Psychological Science, you'll build an adaptable skillset that combines skills-based legal training with expertise in psychological teaching, preparing you for a rewarding career.

As you study law, you can tailor your degree to your personal career aspirations with a wide range of elective subjects and opportunities for hands-on professional experience. We combine outstanding legal training with a progressive approach that prepares you for employment.   • Evidence and criminal procedure: Build your understanding of the criminal legal system and procedure. Learn how to apply criminal law to real-world scenarios and provide legal advice.
  • Private and public law: Learn how to apply the legal principles underpinning contract law, develop the skills to specialise as a corporate legal expert and discover how government power is distributed, exercised and controlled.
  • Clinical, health, developmental and social psychology: Understand how to help people cope with mental and physical disorders and investigate how environmental factors contribute to our psychological makeup.
  • Psychological assessment, intervention and research: Become familiar with methods used to understand and measure people's psychological state, and learn when and how to intervene or conduct research.

    La Trobe University values academic excellence. High-achieving international students considering applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

    The La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship rewards high achieving International students. This scholarship is worth between 15% to 25% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.

    To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

    • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
    • Be a new International student applying for 2024-2026 intakes.
    • Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored).

    Early Acceptance Grant

Recipients will automatically be eligible to receive an Early Acceptance Grant of $2,000. 

    To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

    • Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to study in Summer semester 2025 or any intake in 2026 (Semester 1, Semester 2 and Summer semester).
    • Not be a humanitarian or other permanent visa holder.
    • Be a full fee-paying student (non-sponsored).
    • Be applying for direct entry into one of the eligible courses. Other students are not eligible.
    • Commence their studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses or Sydney Campus in 2025/6.
    • Meet the University's English language requirements and all the other conditions stated on the Offer Letter, accept the offer, and pay the required deposit mentioned on the offer. 
    • Students who receive a Conditional Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) will be considered eligible for the grant.
    • This grant is not available to La Trobe College Australia (LTCA) packaged students (ELICOS, Foundation, and Diploma).
    • All students who accept up until the deadline, including those who have already accepted, will be eligible for this grant.
