Program Overview

A Bachelor's degree in Finance and in Management offers you a wealth of information in the field of business and economics fundamentals on one hand, and financial management, on the other. Whether you are interested in financial planning, business taxation or corporate finance - the undergraduate program Bachelor of Finance combines the classic economics principles of business administration studies with extensive knowledge on the management of the financial sector.

The Bachelor's in Finance teaches you about the core subjects of the finance world: among other, you will get to know principles of finance, accounting, financial products and how companies operate on global capital and financial markets. With the Bachelor of Finance program, you will also acquire know-how in finance topics such as corporate finance, financial management and reporting. During the last two semesters you will additionally gain more in-depth knowledge of subjects such as controlling or consulting projects, mergers and acquisitions or international financial management such as portfolio & assets.

Performing the analysis of complex business models and processes, getting to know financial products better or recognising interrelationships of markets - pursuing financial management studies at ISM will supply you with the necessary knowledge to become a sought-after financial specialist in national as well as international companies.

The course provides a business management basis with individual orientation, lectures in the areas of management basics (business administration, statistics, economics), training of soft skills (personal and social competences), learning of foreign languages as well as industry-specific focus subjects such as controlling or consulting. For example, lectures are offered in the areas of financial management, corporate structuring or international financial reporting.

Your semester abroad in finance studies

With the Bachelor in Finance & Management you get to know the international financial markets. This B.Sc. in English includes an integrated semester abroad, which you can spend in Europe or overseas in the fourth semester.

The choice of university is up to you. ISM's university network includes around 190 partner universities worldwide. You can choose from an extensive university network (PDF) when studying finance during your semester abroad. Your academic achievements are fully credited so that you don't lose any time and keep to the standard period of study.

If you opt for the Global Track, you will have the opportunity to spend a second, optional semester abroad overseas (in the seventh semester). This allows you to expand your specialist knowledge and further develop your language and intercultural skills.

During the semester abroad, you will acquire valuable intercultural and language skills in addition to international financial knowledge.
