FOM University - Essen Campus Overview
The private and non-profit FOM University is specifically designed to meet the performance requirements of the economy and is connected to over 10,000 partner companies. A quality of study that has been continuously developed at the top international level since its foundation. This is particularly guaranteed by our more than 2,000 university professors and lecturers from practice.
As a non-profit foundation university, FOM is not aware of a profit-oriented manner but follows a clear educational mission: to develop high-quality and financially viable study programs for professionals and high school graduates.
Regardless of whether you want to pursue a specialist or leadership position, take a new start or improve your career opportunities: A bachelor's or master's degree at FOM University will help you to make your dream come true. In six university areas, more than 50 accredited courses of study are available—without an admission restriction by a numerus clausus (NC). All the courses of the FOM are recognized at the state and international levels. And because we understand that time is a precious commodity, we have developed various study and time models for you that enable you to embed your study in your everyday life.
Essen Campus
Industrial location, cultural city, a metropolis in transformation: Since its founding at the start of the 1990s, FOM International University has been headquartered in Essen. In the middle of the Ruhr area, the city has a lot to offer: grand industrial monuments, cultural and sporting highlights and appealing local recreation areas.
DAX-listed corporations such as E.ON and RWE are based in Essen, as are some notable major companies, including DB Schenker, Evonik Industries and ThyssenKrupp. Since the start of the 1990s, with its head office in Essen, FOM University has been supporting the structural transformation of the Ruhr area with its excellent, practical and academic teaching. There are now more than 50,000 students enrolled at 35 FOM university centres in Germany. The campus in Herkulesstraße in Essen offers well-equipped facilities and lecture theatres as well as a reference library.
